The Lemonade Diet Plan With A Twist

Helping thousands of people around the world to shed the excess pounds, the lemon detox, originally created in 1941 by naturopath Stanley Burroughs, is basically a regime of drinking a mixture of lemon juice, tree syrup and cayenne pepper. Sounds strange, I know, but the average weight loss within 10 days of the lemon detox, otherwise known as the lemonade diet is between 3 and 6 kilograms!
 
The original lemon detox diet basically goes like this:

Mix together:

  • 10 oz purified water  
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons 100% Dark Maple Syrup
  • 1/10 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Drink 6 – 12 glasses a day and finish with a natural laxative at bed time to flush out all accumulated fecal matter and toxins that are sitting inside your intestinal walls.
 
Now, we’ve taken the original lemon detox/lemonade diet and given it a little twist because we believe that surviving on purely sweetened lemon juice with a hint of pepper for 10 days is almost torture. If you stick to a healthy, low calorie diet while you are detoxing you’ll lose the weight just as easy, if not easier. By giving your body some fuel to burn, it means that your metabolism will speed up, hence aiding the fat burning process. You’ll also remain feeling full and satisfied meaning that you’re not going to reach for the sugary snacks that you’d crave after a few days of consuming only juice.
